Hi,

My name is daniel. I am new to all this so please be patient. I am seeking drawings of rail cars and specifically railcar bogies. I want to build a digital mockup of the bogie and be as exact as possible. Are drawings ever published anywhere of railcars and trucks?

My first guess is a Car Builder’s Cyclopedia of the right era.

Free patents online may have such a drawing (I know it has railroad trucks/bogies) but there is so much on that site that I tend to get lost!

Thanks, I was aware of the first two sites but did not think of searching patents. I have the option of measuring by hand the bolster. I just wanted to find out if there was a way to get the complete drawing set. Any one actually know what patent numbers to search?
