Seeking source for Prewar paint and detail parts.

I have a set of prewar heavyweight passenger cars #613, 614 and 615 that need restoration. Like many items of this era, they really got played with so there are lots of scratches, occasional light rust, some detail parts missing, and even a “kids” attempt at repainting. Normally I prefer to keep everything original, but in this case I’ve got nothing to loose. I’d like to make them look as close to original as possible and was wondering where I could find paint (terra-cotta, maroon, yellow) that would be an exact match plus an assortment of detail parts(brass handrails, journal boxes, etc). Your replies are much appreciated. Thanks!

http://www.trainenamel.com/ Charles Woods has the paint. Call him to help select the correct colors. This is professional enamel paint similar to automotive paints. Use proper ventilation and filter masks.

Sorry I can’t help with the parts.

CTT has an excellent article (I can’t remember which) that shows you how to strip and repaint a pre war car.

Love to see the results!
