Come on selector you can hit 12,000 posts right here.
Sure, I’m happy to oblige. [:)] I will try not to respond to any more posts so that you have time to come back and see the count at 12 grand. But, I may have to do the moderator thing which, regrettably, will trump my willingness to do as you ask.

Cool milestone, congrats!
Life is strange along the information superhighway. Its like living in Pittsburgh 150 years ago and wondering at the new worker housing next to the blast furnace.
12,000…holy high digits, selector…do you know if you’re #1 in the post count “contest” and if now, do you know who is?
Check the profile by clicking on selector in his post above. Yup. Number one.
That isn’t a sure thing–I show as being Number Two, but I know that at least Mookie, Tree, and Quentin are between me and Crandell. I think it’s a category.
Still, that’s an accomplishment–congratulations!
Keep up the good work. Its nice to have you guys around during the weekends.
Is SpaceMouse #2, at 9500?
Wooohoooo…you made it!!! 12,000…Congrats [bow]
Can you cash those in and retire now? lol
For me to hit 12,000. i think i would have to be here another 20 years or so
Thanks, everyone. Fact is, I live at my computer. [:I] And, to be fair and truthful, I teach using online discussion groups, and my work as a moderator counts with all the pming and stuff I do in the background with other mods.
In order to keep the middle-aged spread under control, I have to run or cycle several times a week. Thankfully, I ran and raced competitively for many years when I was in the Canadian Forces. In fact, yesterday I dropped off our Corolla to get a water pump replaced (warranty), and since I had no way of getting home (they were prepared to give me a ride, but somewhat later), I changed into handy running attire and ran the 11 km home. If I didn’t do that I’d have gained more than the 10 lbs I’ve gained since retiring four summers ago. [:O]
Anyway, 'nuff about me. I do appreciate your warm thoughts. [:)]

Wasn’t there a book something like “12,000 Days on the Northwestern” or something similar? When’s your book coming out Crandell? [(-D]
Now all those people that crabbed at me for having a high posting count…well, enjoy!
Congrats!
Mookie
I get told alot that I spend way too much time at my computer but the fact is that there are others who spend way more time at theirs. Suddenly I don’t feel so bad. [;)]
Way to go Crandell! [tup]
I can’t recall too many days when you haven’t posted something. I’m sure when the day comes along that you do something else for a change that keeps you away from the computer people will notice.
Thanks, Mookie and Ted…I appreciate your good wishes. Now, I feel I have to nip this one because it should not continue to languish on the front page. Cheers to all of you.
