selling inherited train collection

Hi, we have been selling a huge collection through ebay. The fees are killing us!!! So, I wonder if you, as collectors, can tell me where is the best place to sell this collection? Dad had everything except garden trains. Of course we are keeping some of them for sentimental reasons. But, it would be far better for someone to enjoy these then for them to be stored forever. Do you go to train shows or to shops? How many of you buy online? Is there a wealthy person who would take this collection  thanks for your input. Joey

Model RR magazine usually has some adds from bnuyers of collections. Check the display adds throughout the magazine and the classifieds in the back.

Why don’t you post a complete listing on the Toy Train and Model Railroad Forums on this website and give an email address and say you are open for bids? And Garden Railroads as applicable also.

Ebay will get you the best $ but to avoid alot of the fees keep it simple. Listing an item gets you a fee and the more you ask at the front end, the more the fees, start it at 99cents. Then do not add mutipule pics, highlights, reserves, or upgrades of any kind as they only add cost.

Be real carefull with Ebay. People have been ripped off.
