Sen. Blumenthal to introduce rail safety legislation

Another idiot liberal do gooder.Where is this fools backgrond in railroading?DC doesn ot always know best & more foolish regulations will just lead to dumb unintended consequences

Typical Democratic “no accountability” legislation - crews are never wrong, it’s just management and 'never saw a problem that could not be fixed with more regs and more borrowed $$$ to increase our $15T debt". Lord help us!
Time for RR’s AND the Brotherhoods to enforce rules; use your time off to sleep BEFORE your call, no fooling around with cell phones, etc. You’re paid well so be a pro!

What he has proposed sound like he wants the feds to be in charge of everything to the finite detail. This country is certainly headed in the wrong direction since OBUMA.

I fail to see how cameras would prevent rail accidents. After all, there were cameras in place when Senator Blumenthal almost got hit by the train while he was standing on the platform conducting a press conference and the cameras did nothing to prevent that near-accident from happening. In fact the need for cameras and appearing on camera actually contributed to this near-accident.

Senator, how about some legislation to prevent the 34,500 deaths and hundreds of thousands injured on US (government controlled) roads last year? Measured by death and injuries, roads appear to be much more accident prone than rails.

Common Sense needs to break out somewhere. How many trains of crude oil run every day with no problems whatsoever? Just like, how many airline flights take place every day with no trouble? How many Railroad Train Service employees did this gent interview? How many trains did he ride before sounding off?
