SEPTA celebrates 50th anniversary
Good one on the part of your friend, Roger.
Happy birthday, SEPTA (and I say that with no sarcasm). I grew up with you (and sometimes rode your trains, trolleys, and buses).
Unlike many other commuter railroads, SEPTA regional rail trains have no on-board toilet facilities. Their locomotive-hauled coaches came with toilets, but they were subsequently blocked off from use. A rider I knew referred to the SEPTA system as the “SEPTIC system”.
My guess would be the MBTA in Boston, MA
What’s the other commuter agency railroad that one of only two agencies that operate commuter railroads, subway, trolley, trolley bus, and bus lines?
