SEPTA to restore weekend night subway service
Well, it’s a start. Maybe this will bring back daily service. The Washington Metro has extended their service on the weekends for the same reason.
Night service on weekends makes sense with many activities like music and sports on weekends, public exhibits and fairs, and the fact that Friday and Saturday nights are popular at the bars and night clubs, this would also help enhance safety on the roads as those have had a bit too much will have another alternative way to get home later in the evening after events are over and everything closes up.
