SEPTA's trolley accident - latest in a string of 'unfortunate coincidences'?

Many gleeful news reports on this topic – they’re up to 5 recent accidents, the latest being a trolley running into a historic home:

Sounds as if a ‘Safety Culture’ is not in place on SEPTA

““They’re built very sturdy, 30,000 tons of steel, about 40-year-old cars that have been very durable and reliable,” Sauer told 6ABC”

Editing is a dead art

OK, the question is how does a trolley hit a house? Lousy reporting as well as no editing

Note that it was a trolley bus. It may had enough momentum to jump the curb and hit the house after it de-wired.

At least this incident was all in the family:

This one was a streetcar.

Sounds as if there is no Safety Culture on SEPTA.
