Two passenger trains collided Head-on in Southern Poland, 14 reported dead.

Or rather, what form of protection they were using for the wrong-main running.

The article states:

One of the trains was running against the current of traffic. I wonder if the line is signaled for such or if they were given the go-ahead to do so manually.

Sounds like the Rail Traffic Controller is being identified as the cause
