Ha, ha! I was wondering how long ‘til that might show up here. I love it! Tons to learn still, but I’ve got the best teachers. I live too far away to get there nearly as often as I’d like, but don’t be too surprised if you see me there covered in grease or pulling a switch. We just rolled CB&Q SD24 No. 504 out of the diesel shop last weekend after six or seven years’ restoration. It’s in the Chinese red scheme and looks awesome! Very nice - thanks for sharing. [tup] That’s a paint scheme which truly deserves to be preserved / re-created - esp. on a high-short nose unit, as it was ‘back in the day’, and one with the air reservoirs on the roof, too. Now if we could just get a sky [or some other background] that didn’t match the upper hood quite so well, it’d really stand out . . . [;)]

I used to be a member of the Burlington Route Historical Society, and maybe someday I will go back to the BRHS as a member. Anyway guys, #504 is a very sharp looking unit and I wish it were possible for me to have gotten pictures of it myself.
