SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING Number 1

at 7:19 pm CST Monday 15 NOVEMBER 2004
At 7:12 pm thunderstorms with the potential for damaging winds were observed on radar between Berry Springs and Lee Point moving towards the west.
The following areas may experience damaging wind gusts between now and the next hour:
Darwin River,
Berry Springs,
Palmerston,
Darwin,
Cox Peninsula,
Bynoe Harbour,
Dundee Beach.
Wind gusts to 110 kilometres per hour have
already been reported at Noonamah.
People in these areas are advised to secure loose outside objects and avoid remaining in the open when storms threaten.
This is NOT a cyclone warning.
The next Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued no later than 8:00 pm

What does 110kmh equate to in mph? About 60? I remember one of my older Chevies having MPH with kmh in smaller numerals…forgot how it equated…Dave Williams
