Sharing Some Older Pictures of Rebuilt Units I've Posted

Some scanning and posting to share. Thanks so much for looking. Hope you enjoy. These are some images of rebuillds I’ve taken over the years.

A Tri-Rail train at the Hollywood FL depot back in 1991 when the service was fairly new. Anyone know what the train numbers were on the mid-day Tri-Rail runs back then? Thanks.

The Northlander pulling out of Tornonto Union Station after ending its long run in 1999 with an EGU car rebuilt from an F9B (my first trip toToronto).

Rebuilt Canadian Pacific GEEPS working Williston Yard in Vancouver in some bright sun in 2000. (Anyone know if this angle is still shoot-able? I understand that they’re not so railfan friendly down there anymore.)

Cool pictures! Nice to see that ON EGU, which is a former MILW unit! [:D]

Of all the RRs I really regret having never seen, Milwaukee has to be at the top. Great paint scheme… amazing scenery… astounding mix of power. Would have been fun.

I like that shot of the Tri-Rail train. That cowl nose is a classic. [8D][tup]

I think that someone on this forum a while back mentioned that a number of Burlington Norther F45s that were scrapped had their cabs taken and used for rebuilt cab and hoot units. Anyone know about this?

Are you talking about the GP40FH-2s on New Jersey Transit and Metro North? Those units are sort of the opposite of a wide cab. They use the cowl bodies of F45, but retain the GP40 cab and nose.

I believe the majority of the New Jersey Transit units are either retired or about to be retired. I think the Metro North units solider on.

While on a trip to Washington state this past July I took pics of a stone arch bridge in I think Broken Bow, Wa (I may be wrong) that was part of the Milwaukee Road. Oh how I wish I could have seen those orange and black locos crossing that.
