As I mentioned a few months a go, I found a great alternative method to buying sheet metal siding from one of the styrene manufacters. I find old wide screen TV’s , that in fact hold 3’ by 4’ piece of HO metal siding. It seems the plastic cover that protects the screen looks like HO scale metal siding. I have collected about 25 square feet of this covering so far.
So before you throw out that wide screen TV ,for that new plasma screen. Strip the protective covering off for use on HO buildings. Why you ask would someone horde so much of this protective covering screen ? Simple…have you ever heard of a { basic oxygen furnace} or more commenly called a BOF. Anyway its a huge structure…when I build mine I’ll need quite a bit of sheet metal siding. Why buy it if you can find it ?
I was disappointed, Patrick. I didn’t make any mistakes, but unlike John Glaab’s presentation immediately before - which was packed to overflowing [standing room only] - half the seats were empty during mine. I fulfilled my commitment to Roger but that’s about it.
Just a word of encouragement about the presentation. The people that filled the seats probably learned from your presentation and you should look forward to getting more exposure next time.
Most of the people attending presentations sign up or look for names of presenters they know and this is not reflection on your expertise or presentation.
