I have a never been used MODEL POWER F2-A diesel locomotiv. I’m trying to remove the shell and lm not having any luck. It has one screw that goes through the fuel tan, but removing it doesn’t loosen the shell. There are a couple of tabs on each side,prying them still doesn’t do anything. Can anyone help me out?
You could try gently shaking the shell, that might cause it to come off.

I don’t see anything indicating a screw coming up through the fuel tank. My guess is that they modified the position of the weight retaining screw, moving it from inside the loco to outside, through the fuel tank.
It does look like the tabs are the only thing holding the body onto the chassis. Sometimes it’s useful to pry out one side and insert a couple of toothpicks in the gap. Then do it on the other side. That way, you don’t have to both do the prying and the shaking. Of course, you need to make sure the tab is fully clear of the slot.
The more unpleasant possibility is that they redesigned the whole mounting system. And you have the new, improved version.
So, be careful and thoughtful.
Oh, yeah. I think it was Model Power that made an E7A where the body was held on with a screw down through the roof. A word to the wise.

I think this is the loco you have, an F2A.
In the paragraph at the bottom, titled Lubrication, the shell is removed by spreading the shell between the trucks.
The illustration looks like how Athearn BB shells are attached.

A few times I sent him scans of documents that came with my locos, DC and DCC, some manuals, couple catalogs, etc.
Odd that no one seems to be able to share the pages the last year or so.
