How does one get to Union Pacific’s location called “Sherman” between Laramie and Cheyenne, Wyoming?
(A map service several years ago gave erroneous instructions, thus prompting this topic.)
I wanted to know that when I went to Cheyanne too.
The map in the Dec.1986 Trains shows it 3 miles east of Dale where highway 234 crosses the tracks.Do you carry a lot of gear?

Exactly how to get there is an answer that changes year to year. Buy yourself a DeLorme Wyoming Atlas and talk to local ranchers once your up there.
Basiclly take I-80 up to the exit of your choice and find your way across to the tunnels or whatever location you want to go to.
