Shipping options for a few small parts

I don’t live near a LHS so everything gets ordered over the internet. There are some very good web sites that I get most of my stuff from but the standard is to ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS. Sometimes I need just a few packs of couplers, some wheels, people, or small detail parts, etc, and don’t want to wait until I have a bigger order.

I wish more places had a lower cost shipping option for small lightweight items that would fit inside a small bubble envelop and would be shipped via USPS First Class. Before anyone mentions it, small USPS First Class packages can be sent with Delivery Confirmation for tracking.

I’m not picking on any particular place - just generally venting a little. Jim

I can’t tell you how many times I needed a small screw for a locomotives or other small specialty item and did not order it since the shipping and handling was $8.95. When are these companies going to wise up?
