This is almost the last nail in the coffin. The end is near.

Too bad it’s not a highway. Emergency funds would be readily available. Very unfortunate.

$20.9 million would barely rebuild a highway bridge or interchange, yet when it is spent on railways it is considered a huge amount. Most expensive highway improvements today are to accommodate larger trucks, not Toyotas. Railways can often make such road improvements unnecessary, yet few transportation planners today even know they exist. And when they do, they want them ripped out for bike trails.
