I put together a very short video of the Bachmann Peter Witt Car.
This was the Baltimore car they were offering, it had a dcc already included.
I use a touch of lube in the gears and found the lights to be ok.
Analog throttle caused the engine to run rough… perhaps dirty track. I dont know.
On DCC the unit ran flawlessly.
On the first half I hold the DT400 button down for accelerate to speed 18 or so before running out of track, the last half is simply coming back at speed 30 to zero using the rotary knob before running out of track.
Sound was removed. The house was very much louder than the trolley. It was virtually silent to me.
Anyhow here it is:

This site requires you to download the video (I have no control over that) and you will need shockwave flash player to view it.
Im going to see if I can find another free site to host this stuff or go back to youtube.
cool. Have you given it the sharp curve test? What is its minimum radius?
I may buy it, its not in my regular scheme of layout design, but I am thinking about a kind of freelance streetcar/interurban freight thing in Roanoke to serve passengers then work a carfloat dock using my non scheme equipment I have , like Indiana RR car, a bachmann double ended car. The PCC I have is CTA so it fits. Plus I have a Labelle freight motor. I have 2 car float docks and one carfloat to flop cars between. The docks will be in far distant cities, Roanoke and Milwaukee, it acts like a non-hidden staging yard. The float will not have powered tracks, you must use idler cars.
The line will run all my other "traction " stuff.
My main scemes in traction, North Shore and South Shore andd CTA and IC electric.
I can’t load the video (unknown file type) and I can’t see how to search for a user on Imageshack. I get either no search results, or 97 pages of them. Any other suggestions?
[#ditto] Help?![%-)]. I would love to see that video.
I played with this video on the site and learned that you need to download the thing to your computer, open the file with a shockwave player and run it.
There has to be a better way to do this.
I may go to someone else to host this stuff because some people dont enjoy good download speeds.
Another possible answer that I developed is that SANS recently issued a Killbit set for computer vurnabilities and one of those killbits prevent me from seeing flash videos. That is fine with me. Youtube refuses me directly while Imageshack generates a download/save to request.
