Shorty Procor Tank Car Data

Hi,

I’m actually designing custom decals for a project involving a “beer can” 30’ Procor tank car. After many searches, I couldn’t secure precise information about typical car data painted on the tank ends. Habitually, they are about type of brake, wheels, etc.

If you have info or clean car end pictures to work with, it would make life easier. BTW, the project itself is completely freelanced and represented a car that could have been in service during the 60’s. Trucks are 70-ton roller bearing.

Thank you,

Matt

Here’s one end shot of an old Procor tank with traces of its original lettering.

Keep in mind that you should not be using the modern PROCOR lettering with the large gothic block logo. That wasn’t introduced until the late 1970s. You’ll also be using UTLX reporting marks, not PROX. Those weren’t introduced until around 1982.

Thank you Chris! You’re always a mine of information to me!! It’s exactly what I was looking for. I was aware Procor was part of UTLX.
