Should I buy a used Z1000

My LHS has a couple of used Z1000 transformers for around $70. Is this a good deal or should I wait until the fathers day sale (20% off anything in the store) and get a brand new one? Thanks for any opinions in advance

Bruce

Hello Bruce:

Isn’t a new one around $100.00? If so, I would wait for the 20% off sale which would give you the full warranty.

Of course, if the LHS (or MTH) is giving a warranty on the used one, $70.00 is not a bad deal for a very smooth operating unit (I have two that came with starter sets and they have both been outstanding performers). Will you be able to get the used one for $56.00 (20% off) during the sale?

Regards,

JO

I think if you looks around you can find these cheaper as new items from set breakdowns and such. I think I paid about $60 for a new one in the past on Ebay? I think that included the s/h too? Gryzboskis has one, new from a break up - see if this link works:

Thanks for the replies. I think now I will wait and look around and get a new one with a warranty. I don’t need one right away, I have a Z750 and was looking to upgrade. I’ll check out the links suggested and see what happens.
