I kinda like postwar turbines. I really like the Century Club Turbine:
I don’t know if it’s my favorite, but lately it spends more time on the rails than any of the others.

As J White says, I’m not sure this is my favorite engine, but I do take a lot of photos of the American Flyer version of the Hiawatha.
For my taste, among steamers the Pacific 4-6-2 has always been the “Goldilocks engine”, not too big, but not too small.
For diesels it’s a toss up:
