Show me something - August 2012 Edition

Last Request was: Show me an urban scene.

[C):-)]

Downtown Denver BNSF Yard

.

Show me a country scene.

Here is a country scene. At least there are a few cows visible.

The cows don’t seem to be bothered by the passing of the locomotive.

How about another country scene.

Country scene on a layout built in 1991 on commission by a club on 3 weekends as a fund raising project.

Show me suburbs.

I think this qualifies as a suburb

Show me your favorite scratch built structure. Sam

Scratch Built Engine house back during construction w/ over 1,100 hand cut boards:

Inside:

Show me another scratch build.

This qualifies as scratch built  .

Show me a weathered steel bridge.

Here’s a weathered plate girder bridge…

.

Show me something that uses coal for its power source.

Just to get this moving again, here is an old photo of Consolidation MEC 524

Show me something that uses diesel fuel

My critter uses diesel fuel, and it looks like somebody has spilled it all over the locomotive!

Show me another critter, preferably scratch built.

Dave

Times up on the critter, scratchbuilt or otherwise.

Show me something rusty.

Jarrell

Old F7 going to the back shop.

Show me what ever you like!

How about some farm equipment?

Please Show Me Some Farm or Construction Equipment

Construction equipment for Chad…

Show me a sawmill please

My Danby Sawmill, built from a Keystone kit (the absent-minded employee nearly stepped right out the end):

Show me a rowboat.

Time out for a rowboat, so here is an old photo of the boat yard on the Boothaby Railway Village Layout.

Show me something else with boats or ships

Look close to see the boat on the trailer behind the car on a early morning. Jack is never going to get to the lake because he can’t stop spinning yarns with the guy on the porch.

Show me a dirt road!

Jarrell

Dirt roads are just about all there is around the SLOW… Few rural towns had paved roads back in '25.

Show me a brick road. (Doesn’t have to be Yellow…)

73

Brick road around the courthouse square-- after the entire town was wiped out by a layout demolition.

Show me something that is long gone.

Long gone:

My N scale layout as photographed in 1978 (I was 20):

!(http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii167/loganrodder/Old N scale layout/bridge1.jpg)

After these photos were taken, I gave it to an aspiring young model railroader. I don’t know what became of my layout.

Show me another long gone layout.
