Show Me Something.... Edited

I’ll second Rich’s question, what is a speed shop?

I’m not positive but I think it’s a business that specializes in souping up race cars, in a general sense.

Jarrell

Jarrell,

That’s exactly what it is!!!

Cheers Frank

All I can give you is a name:

Rapid Roy Auto Repair

Anyone know the name??

EDIT; Idid find something

Ralph Ernhardt’s 1938 Chevy; sorry it can’t be Mopar Ken [(-D]

Well, Ken, in the era I model, and when I was becoming interested in cars, a speed shop would be the local garage. I bought a “55” Chevy that had a straight six with a three speed trans. My local garage installed a 265 cu. in. V8, dual exhausts, and a floor shifter. I was thrilled with that car. So, here’s an early “speed” shop. DJ.

Show me an early Alco.

Wow! … DJ I used to have a '55 Chev w/265.

Here’s another picture for Ken and Jarrell. “Reggie” is working on his hot rod at his scrap yard and auto parts business.

I do have an Alco switcher, but I’ll see if somebody else can post the early Alco.

One more speed shop. The 40 Ford was a C Gaser with a 301 Chev that replaced the Ply Golden Commando SS that accually won some trophies.

Lets still find an Alco

Well, here is my town speed shop.

Main Shop

They have there own Rail Road Spur!

Employee Parking.

Show me some wildlife. I like deers and bears.

You win the speedshop competition Ken!

Here are some black bears…

John. that’s off the Naptown & White River Model Railroad club, which is where everything I post comes from. I could show you my layout, but I think you know what a crowded storage unit looks like.

Alright, so now that those two are tied up. Can somebody get the Firsherman we’re lookign for???

I believe Grampy was first with the speed shop and he requested an early Alco.

Jarrell

Jarrell, I snuck one in under you, bottom of 14. There were two loose ends that are now Checked off.

Fishing the Yellowstone River

How about a cattail swamp. I have one, does anyone else?

Sort of - more pond than swamp:

How about some Boston & Maine?

OK, Art, time to show us your cattail swamp.

Show me ARTHILL’s cattail swamp.

Rich

My Cattail swamp, but we still need Boston and Maine

Art, I have to say it, that Cattail swamp is absolutely beautiful.

We are still in need of Boston and Maine.

Sweet !

This here’s Boston…

And I tossed this one in just in case somebody wanted to see a blue caboose…
