Show Me Something: January, 2020

Welcome to the January, 2020

"Show Me Something"

D****edicated to the originator, Jarrell

This is a place where forum members can post their photographs featuring a view of a “requested” scene or object.

If you show the item requested you can then make a new request of your own, or choose to stay with the current request.

After 24 hours, the same rules apply, or you can post a new photo of your choosing and make a new request. Your photos should be of models only, not a “real-life” scene. It’s all about having fun! Let’s see those photos!

Those are nice-looking ladles, Ed. The plant where I worked had lots of slag pots, but in the time I was there, all the iron moved in torpedo cars.

Here’s one of GERN Industries’ many tank cars…

Wayne

Show us more private-owner cars, please.

.

This three domed tank car belongs to the NORTHERN UNION TERMINAL TRANSFER COMPANY (NUTX).

.

This is a brass model imported a long time ago by Gem Models.

Another brightly painted or two-tone car of any type, please.

(It’s the lighting that makes the Brunswick Green look so odd on the S1)

Here’s a two tone GN boxcar.

Show me an SD9

The third unit in this consist is an SD9. It follows two SD7’s. Burlington had a large fleet of these versitile SD’s, and used them all over the railroad.

Please show any First Generation EMD Diesel Locomotive.

.

Here is a LOUISVILLE AND NASHVILLE E Unit on Mr. Muffin’s Lionel Layout in Atlanta, Indiana.

More first-gen EMD, please.

From my last layout:

Please show me an Alco(steam or diesel).

Mike

Here’s a model of my all-time favourite cab units, MLW’s FPA- and FPB-4…

They were made by modifying Model Power’s FA/FB units, and with a lot of additional weight, they were exceptionally strong pullers - wish I hadn’t sold them.

Wayne

Show us some more non-EMD locomotives, please.

An Alco RS-11 right out of the paint shop:

Kevin “Show me a scene with a road and no tall buildings.”

The ‘Lakeshore Limited’ passes the grade level crossing at the west end of the Black River Valley layout.

More ALCOs of any stripe, please.

ALCO K-28:

Please show me a Baldwin locomotive - steam or diesel.

Mike

Well, according Bachmann, my five Grand Valley Consolidations are all products of Baldwin, although I have a few more that will eventually represent MLW, CLC, and/or CCF and ALCo.

Here’s the 24, just out of the paint shop…

Wayne

Show us some more Baldwin products, please.
