Show me something- July 2018

Welcome to the July , 2018 “Show Me Something” thread!

This is a place where forum members can post their photos containing a view of a “requested” scene or object.

If you show the scene requested you can then make a request of your own or choose to stay with the current request.

Your photos should be of models only, not a “real-life” scene. After 24 hours, if the requested scene has not been posted, anyone is welcome to make their own submission and then make the next request of their choosing.

If no request was made by a contributor, the prior request is still in effect.

Have fun !

Many of us are dealing with extreme warm temperatures. Here’s a load of liquid nitrogen to cool things down a bit:

I found a few of these Mobil 3-domes at a train show some time ago. Note the original price on the box end $2.95 - cost me more than that

More cabeese or tank cars please.

I have not acquired very many tank cars yet. I found these two high speed Metal Products tank cars at a garage sale. They are basically toys. They had decent weight to them and I thought they had potential. I notched out the aluminum chassis on the bottom with a razor saw, drilled small holes and installed micro trains trucks. They now roll flawlessly. Later I found another one. But the chassis was plastic, so that one didn’t work. I don’t know how they could call it high speed Metal Products then? My favorite tanker car so far is the blue one.

More tank cars or cabooses please.

PS… I hope all the fragile parts on your cabooses survived the derailment South Penn

.

The same way Classic Metal Works is still called Classic Metal Works even though almost everything they make is made of plastic. You need to be very careful when you name your new company.

More auto racks, or TOFC cars, please.

I made these tri-level auto rack cars and TOFC flat cars from Quality Craft kits in the early 1970’s. The cars are made mostly of wood pieces.

Please show more auto racks, TOFC flat cars, and/or other flat cars.
