Welcome to the March 2015 Edition of Show Me Something. Lets start off March with the last request of February:
Something green? Will PRR Brunswick Green do?
Show us some more green.
2 red MEC cabooses, at least on the ends and couplas
Show me something blue
Reefer Yellow; my new ‘Sound Car’.
-Bob
show me something electric!
Something very electric and high voltage.
Show me something else electric
The electric lamp outside the Deep Step station in this night photo…
Show me something made of round pipes or a single pipe, no matter the size.
The two boilers inside are made from PVC pipe tees.
Show me something else made from plastic found around the house.
The twin solos in the right side of the photo were made from plastic drain pipes. This industry is a bakery called “Stayle Bread Company”.
I like this theme. Please show something on your layout constructed from material not intended for a model railraod.
The foreground trees were made from goldenrod, not sure if that counts. Also the lichen on the mountains was purchased at Michaels and intended for dried floral arangments. So agin, another stretch.
Show me something you made out of stuff from your local hardware store.
The grain bins at the Farmers Union Elevator were made from recycled tin cans.
Lets keep this theme going. Show something on your layout constructed form materials not intended for model railroading.
Sorry, too slow.
OK, We have PVC pipe, window screen, coat hanger on the gas storage, and sand paper on the shed roof.
Have a good one
Lee
Edit: why do my photos get squished in width? I copy and paste.
Lee, from the photobucket site, I go to the right side of the page where the “SHARE LINKS” are. I click on the “Direct” box which automatically copies the address to your clipboard. Go back to your MR post and click the add/insert image button and paste the text into the first box. Not sure if this is how everyone else does it, but it works for me.
I guess continue the “items not intended for model railroading” theme unless Lee has another preference.
Lee, you forgot to make a request.
[sigh]

Hey
I couldn’t find the image box when I came back to insert image.
Another non hobby item.
These are whole cloves from the kirchen used for tree stumps.
Lets see some big iron(4-8-84 ?).
Cheers
Lee
Here’s the challenger or big boy (I’d have to go upstairs to check). Apparently the challenger:
Show me some bigger iron (weight, thrust, length, etc) or a really small steamer.
Here’s the EM1, smallest of the Yellowstones, shame not one was saved. We will have a fantastic “new” Big Boy in about 5 years
Show me a Berkshire, the handsome beast
Lee,
I have the same issue with the “Insert” button when I try to make a comment. I’ve found that refreshing the page before I type anything will bring it back.
If you type any comments before refreshing the page, it will be lost.
Not sure what causes the problem, but it is most likely a glitch with the programming or a compatibility issue with IE.
