Welcome to May, in the last post, GP-9_Man11786 requested a freight train from any southern railroad.
My first contribution to one of these threads, and I think I have just the thing…
A Blue Box SCL U36B I upgraded a couple of years ago posing with some rolling stock I would have seen rolling through my hometown in central Florida. The two brown boxcars are from the Plant City Model Railroad club.
Now show me an intermodal train on a western railroad…
Ok, let’s make this a little easier… just show me a shipping container (or two, or twenty [:D])
Early intermodal is the best I can provide. Show me something Northern.
How about a Great Northern boxcar:
Show me a lineside industry.
Not sure if this counts or not but here goes. The Grain elevator, Farm Supply company and flour mill are all lineside, rail-served industries. However the sidings are out of view in the photos. Let’s see more linside industries.
An old photo, just to move things along…
Country Kitchen bakery is a lineside industry
Show me some stock cars
Here are a few stock cars:
A short NYC ‘Meat Train’ passes the Farmers Union Elevator, eastbound, on the BRVRR layout.
Show me another freight train.
A Santa Fe local freight with some cars being switched.
Show me another freight train.
A train heading West up a grade through the Alberta foothills cattle country. Soon the Rockies will be the test and help wll be needed.
Show a train going downhill.
Here’s Amtrak’s Pennsylvanian headed downgrade into Altoona. Show me another train going down hill.
Passing siding on the right.
Show me another siding!
Jarrell
How about the siding on this little structure? LOL
-Bob
show me a water tower.
Three water tanks in this shot…
Show me a sanding facility - steam or diesel.
Mike
Please show me something you’re pleased with.
Cheers, the Bear.
I am really pleased with the way this has evolved over the years.
Show me a shot of your whole (or as much as possible) layout.
Well, it’s been over 24 hours. Here’s a Model Power “Mr. & Mrs Diggers” ( I wonder if here maiden name was “Gold”) house kit. Show me another house.
A house in South Greenvale, on a part of my layout that I took apart last year. I have saved the scene for use in the area I am working on now
It takes a village, show me one…
OK… Here is Miller’s Bed and Breakfast in Hopewell Junction. It was a wood kit from some company or other (too lazy to go down cellar and look it up).
Show me a business disctrict in a town on your Layout (or the club).
[edit] Looks like George just beat me to the punch… So show us a Village instead!
