Show me Something: October 2014

Cutting and welding at the RIP track.

More railroad people, please.

Dispatching the work.

More people please.

Prep work for new road and buildings.

More people,please.

Mike

Working on the loading dock restacking pallets that have fallen off.

Continue with the ‘people’ theme please.

Here’s the Crew of Hampton & Branchville Number 44 waiting for a clear track.

Let’s keep the people theme going.

Railroad employees are visible in this photo

Please continue with people.

Further to the current WPF, Foreman Trev has done the truss rods and has commenced fitting the stake pockets. I just wish he wouldn’t wave that big spanner around in such a menacing manner when there’s a camera on site.[sigh]

More people if you please.

Cheers, the Bear.[:)]

Here’s a couple folks touring the In-ko-pah Railroad in “Tin Lizard”, the old Model T railbus:

The figures were sculpted by hand from poly clay over an armature of twisted aluminum foil. The driver is a replica of my dad, and the passenger’s a replica of my sister. The railbus is also scratch-built. All are 1/24th scale.

Show me a railcar or railbus!

Well it’s been nearly a day and a half and no railbus; let’s move on. Here’s some freshly-weathered Conrail power.

Show me a railroad that got merged into Conrail.

Here’s a New York Central passenger car (NYC → PC → CONRAIL … does that count?)

Let’s keep “Merged into CONRAIL” going.

The Late Great Pennsylvania Railroad!

This is a great theme… Let’s see more CONRAIL fallen flags!

A Penn Central to Conrail patchout boxcar

More Conrail fallen flags, prefer something other than NYC, PRR or PC

Other than PRR, NYC? Here we go! (hope you don’t mind me stealing the lime light)

A little E-L action! (this site is giving me fits lately! I have to turn off compatibility view in order to post a pic… THEN next time I want to post one, I have to turn it back ON again!!!)

MORE Conrail forerunners please…

I hate to be a glory-hog but it’s been 22 hours. Here’s a CNJ hopper.

Let’s keep the Conrail predacessors going. Still looking for either Lehigh Valley, Reading and New Haven.

Reading GP7 about to cross Hammer Creek.

Still looking for Lehigh Valley or New Haven.

Not the greatest pic in the world. At one time this LV box, an NH box and a PC GP9 all sat on this unfinished siding.

Show me your local police cruiser.

Honest officer, I thought the speed limit WAS 60!

Maybe the Amtrak locomotives are a bit incongruous here, like a blast from Back To The Future! All in fun!

So after the local officer arrives… Show me a TOWTRUCK

This whimsical scene has two tow trucks.

Please show one or more of the following: … a dump truck, a cement truck, a stake truck, delivery truck or any other truck

Here’s a stake truck and a few propane delivery trucks:

Let’s see some more trucks!
