After a long, hard process I finally managed to complete my first custom locomotive with a fantasy paint scheme. Near the end, the thing decided to fight me tooth and nail, particularly when I was trying to put the shell back on the chassis. All in all, I am very proud of myself for this accomplishment. Is it perfect? Of heck no, but for a first time I think it could have been a lot worse.

I love your Tyco stockyard loading pen. It looks very nice. On my railroad moving cattle by rail has been out of date for a long time so my loading pen is full of tumble weeds instead of cows.
Please show me cattle.

Here’s the engineer’s view of the crossing at Indian Line…
…and what would be the fireman’s view…if he weren’t trying to recover his fire after opening the firebox door just as the hoghead widened on the throttle, sending most of the fire through the flues and up the stack…
…and the aftermath when the Model T pick-up, loaded with crated chickens for market, stalled on the crossing…
Fortunately, the train wasn’t moving all that quickly, and the driver and his brother escaped unharmed, although some of the chickens didn’t fare quite so well.
