Show your desktop (Photo Intensive)

What do you use as a backdrop? Here does it come from?

Mine is a public domain photo from the library of congress. It is the Chicago Round house in the 40’s.

I normally change my backdrop once a week. Right now I have a hopper I took of when I was visiting in NC. This car was in SC on a siding. Talk about a white out (pun intended) [:-^]

Very nice image, Mouse. [:P]

I have used several, including ones from fallenflags that I can’t post here for copyright reasons. But, just as often I’ll use one of my own latest modelling images for the simple reason that at that full screen size I have all the zits plainly visible and I get to have them ingrained every time I turn on the computer or get out of a programme.

So, the latest is my latest:

I change my desktop about once a week too. Currently I have a picture of UP 71, a DD35A, leading two GP30B’s and a GE U50C, and pulling a freight across the Green River Bridge, Wyoming.

Sorry, not train related at the present time. It’s a photo I took on the west side of Wolfcreek Pass, CO.

My 1000th Post!!! Do I get a check or something?

I’ve gotten 9 so far. If you don’t get it by the end of the week, I’d write Bergie.

I took this photo in Lillooet BC in the fall of 2006. The CN train (ex BC Rail) is heading north towards Prince George. The rear of the train is still down on the yard. I quite like the way the ditch lights shine of the rail although this is tough to see with the desktop icons in the way. Photo was taken with a Canon AE1 on Kodak 200 speed print film and transferred to digital when developed.

This is my desktop image for now. I generally change them about every two or three months.

How about this for a desktop!![:D] From the photo gallery section of the Polar Express site http://polarexpressmovie.warnerbros.com/ [8D]

This is a shot I took last Saturday at a crossing in Middletown, Ohio. Not professional by any means, but good enough for my desktop.

I rotate my images once a week or so, at the moment it is one that I took quite a while back but is one of my favorites, please pardon my poor photography skills and lack of decent camera at the time [:)] . A great site I often find images from is http://photos.nerail.org.

I’ve gotten 6 big checks from Bergie. I invested them all in mortgage-backed securities with Bear-Stearns. Boy, am I gonna clean up.

This is mine, from my own layout:

One of the many things I enjoy is photography, particularly lighthouses. So this shot (taken from the top of a lighthouse, by the way) currently graces my desktop.

The Milwaukee Road bridge over the Columbia in Beverly WA.

David Honan is the photographer.

Here’s mine. I rotoate them when ever the mood strikes me. my last one was up for about two weeks, the one before that almost a year!

Taken at the Cincinnati Union Terminal (CUT), this is one of two identical signs set at the entry way to the old concourse, which now only partially exists.

As of this morning:

I use this photo of the enginehouse on my module layout.

I’d better not show the kids though.
