Showing off

Under the Trains Magazine heading in these forum boards, I posted a picture of a “What if” paint scheme:

Someone asked if I had any other pictures to share. Since the only ones were models, I felt it more appropriate to post them under the Model Railroader heading.

Reading fans will recognize the inspiration for my private road paint scheme:

Years ago, I saw an article in Model Railroader for the ACF/SP Double Stack Container cars and scratchbuilt six of the 5 unit ones, and the two pilot models, two of the five unit ones have operating FRED’s:

you need to paint bottom frame of the p42 its really nicely done it actualy looks good on it :stuck_out_tongue: never would think of that combination.

I’ve done stuff like that, Except mine are 1:55 scale drawings on the computer. The first two are of my Fictional Railroad Company the Marrqutte Ontonagon & Western. The MP15 is a shortline operated by the MO&W and the second drawing is the MO&W Executive GP7

Heres one of my Favorite drawings, Its not fictional but I think its still cool

Look Great.

Are you aware that you can post the Photobucket links with the [ IMG ] tags at both ends and your photos will show up in your post? Photobucket supplies them with all photos, you don’t have to do anything to copy them. With the URLS you’ve supplied, visitors have to click on each photo to view, then back out. Using the IMG tags is a lot better.

I am aware of that, but I’m also aware that some people still use slow services like dial-up and these can take forever to download. By posting the links like this, it gives the reader the option.

When I originally posted this on the Trains section, I explained that I just had the extra body and popped it on one of my regular Amtrak P42 chassis for the photo. If you look closely, you’ll also notice there’s no window glass or handrails.

Tom,

The Reading inspired paint just isn’t the same without the diamonds. [8D]

These are not my models but a friend of mine’s models.

I’m working on a southern model as I type.
