I was trying to update my profile with a cool signature like the ones so many of you have, but I can’t get any pictures into it. Can anybody explain how that works?

Works the same as posting a picture in the text, except that you put it in your signature (look at your own profile). Syntax is in the Forum Code. Basically you have to have the image on a website that will allow linking from other sites (some do, some don’t).
One caveat - keep the image(s) small. That may be a great picture of your favorite loco, but if I’m on dial-up (as I am at home), it’s just a bandwidth hog to me.
