Silver Streaking

Hello. I have a Commodore Vanderbilt black steam loco #265E with tender #261TX. Also, passenger chrome #618 EOT car and #619 baggage and passenger car. I lack 617 to make the full train and call it a set. I suspect cars were set of two and engine T were perhaps part of freight set. I have quite a few freight cars from that same era. I trying to put together a fair price list to sell as part of a big value ($3-4000) lot to be discounted. Any help or data? Ted S.

you talking wood Silver Streak freight cars? Good luck. Mine are going to the dump. Nobody wants them,or Ulrich unless it’s Give you fifty cents for all.

Welcome to the Forum Ted!
Finding Pre-War cars is going to be pretty much “Catch as catch can.”
A good place to start the search though would be trainz.com. Good outfit.
Best of luck!

No, he’s not. He’s asking about Prewar Lionel.

been dealing with prewar lionel for a lot of decades. Never heard “silver streaking” before

Well, neither have I, but the text within the actual post was about Lionel stuff, so I put two locos together and now I have a consist! (sorry for the odd joke–it sounded funnier when I was thinking about it)
