Simple Tsunami TSU-1000 Question

Can the TSU-1000 plug into a JST 9-pin socket? I cannot really tell from the picture on the website.

Thanks,

sfb

The TSU-1000 comes with 9 wires, no plug on the end. You will need to install an eight-pin NMRA connector to the power harness to make it a ‘plug and play’ decoder

You do not have to post twice.

Below is a link and shows you how to use this decoder. Store the link in Favorites. You will need it. Lots of good info.

Look in Curriculum. He includes good instructions and photos. Read through a couple times before you start anything.

I just cut the wires to what I like and solder an 8 pin connector o them

You can unplug the solder-in harness from the JST header on the decoder, then plug it into a JST socket or plug in a harness with an 8-pin NMRA plug on one end and a JST plug on the other of whatever length you need. Several DCC dealers sell replacement harnesses…

Yes.

Why is everyone else complicating things? His question is very specific, and the answer only requires ONE word.
