I just finished watching volume 1 and I really enjoyed it. It looked great on my 42" wide screen! It made me a little melancholy - I miss seeing tunnel motors and the SP “light show” (mars light, head lights, etc.). I mentioned to my wife as I was watching - ohhhh, he’s got the blinky’ lights on his engines (oscillating light).

2nd the kudos, Joe, and I’m looking forward to each “next” installment. Funny coincidence, as I have been the last 6 months helping a friend preparing for operations, working up the various switcher jobs at Albany and Salem for the OE’s 9th sub. We are running from Eugene (staging) up to Willbridge (Portland/Vancouver Staging), with the addition of a staged 11th sub, the Sweet Home Branch coming in at Albany. Thanks, guys. Glad to hear the video looks good on bigger screens. MyMemoirs is trying to cater to the newer home-theater crowd with their how-to videos. I think they did a nice job on the first volume of the series.
MyMemoirs has a booth at the National Train Show in Seattle (I’m at the convention now) and will be selling the video and subs to the series there.
My DCC clinic here at the convention has been well received. Much of the material will be in volume 3 on Electrical and control. I show how I “short proof” the Siskiyou Line so only the train causing the short goes down, and everything else keeps running. I also talk about putting the full SP lights in locos and installing SoundTraxx decoders.
