This very unusaul operation is a gathering spot for the Homeless elite of Portland. Portland being the left coast has some unusalul places. This is one of them. This is a Cafe that serves low cost meals to street people and buisnessmen alike. You Will see people in rags and Brooks Brothers suits at the same table. Founded on the Catholic Worker Tradition of Peace and Justice they also provide info on how to obtain Medical care and other Services. When we were there it was crowded and the food was not the best and the service was poor
but the atmosphere was very intresting and worth making a trip to see every one here including many old hobos hence the name sisters of the (RAIL)road.
