Is this site slow or is it just my computer ? Also the entire smiley box isn’t loading ?
Hrm, things seem to be pretty quick for me. Might be your computer, or more likely (if this slowdown is a sudden thing) its your internet provider. I have comcast and they are usually pretty stable, but when they choose to be flaky, its pretty bad.
I tried Google Chrome and worked REALLY fast, but it had it’s own set of problems that were too annoying. I had to go back to IE7. What I found slows it down is the Microsoft .NET framework files. I got rid of all the versions higher than version 1.1 and it really sped things up. Unfortunately, quite a few programs require .NET version 2 or 3 to work properly.

Might I ask what applications (that you use) that are requiring.NET 1.1+ ? Are these regular computer apps or web apps?
I surf with Firefox 99.9% of the time with little to no troubles! Of course, I just might be lucky 
There was a lot of internet traffic at about the that time due to the goings-on in Washington, DC today. I’ve heard of others having problems connecting with some sites today.
