I wonder if someone can tell me the size of a Tortoise? I’m planning one of my yards and I’m a little curious if it will fit inside 2 inch foam without going down to my benchwork. Please give me the size in mm, I’m from Sweden [:D]
From the top of the mounting surface to the bottom of the connector board is 3.25". Since I’m in the USA, I know that to convert to mm, I just multiply 3.25 by 25.4 which gives me 82.55mm. Are you IN Sweden, or FROM Sweden?

They do need to stick down below the 2" foam. However, I did not real preplanning in that regard and have luckedout every time with the total of 17 turnouts. I did have to flip some one way or the other, but everything cleared the benchwork underneath. Only once did I have a problem with a track feeder than ran right into one of the joists underneath. Maybe I’m just lucky.

I’m in Sweden, and from Sweden as well
Thanks for your answer…
I have 12 turnouts in the yard, I hope I’m lucky too
Thanks…
If that’s all one big ladder, it’s a safe bet one will fall on top of a joist. But you can always mount the Tortoise other than directly under the throwbar and form a linkage if the Tortoise itself will not quite fit in the space available.
