To All: Anyone out there know what railroad had the slogan “The North West Route”? Their herald was a circle with the slogan in the circle with an arrow in the circle from lower right to upper left. This line was an early rail company. Thanks, Elvin Howland
I think actually the arrow went from lower left to upper right and it was a herald that Linn Westcott made up for the 0-4-2 drawing that he did for Model Railroader. Athearn immortalized that herald when they used it on the model of the 0-4-2 that they made.

A possibility - Kansas City Wyandotte Northwestern Railroad - “Northwest Route” - Built 1887, became part of Missouri Pacific in 1894, abandoned 1919 "
Here is a picture of the Athearn 0-4-2 Little Monster, is this the herald you are referring to?

DSCHMITT: I believe you are right in the answer Kansas City, Wyandotte & Northwestern RR had the slogan “The North West Route”. This was an actual prototype railroad slogan, even though Linn Westcot used it for his model railroad. Yours, Elvin Howlan/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout
