Does anyone know where I can find some infromation and photo’s of slugs? Also, does anyone know where I can find some infromation and photos of BNs TEBUC6s?

Both will work. I want anything on cabless units or as an exception because they have a cab, BNs TEBUC6s. Thanks Joe.

SP built a bunch of slugs called TEBU (Tractive Effort Booster Unit) There were alot of SP TEBU’s running around at one time #1600 - 1613[:-,]

I’ve only seen one in my life (not counting BN 6291-an ex BN sd-9 that they converted into a Slug) Does espee → now UP still have any of their slugs?

Check out the Railpictures.net website. They have plenty of photos of slugs. I know that there are many CN slug photos as well as CSX slugs too.

Slug sets have all the usual MU connections plus some heavy cables to supply electricity from the main generator of the mother unit to the slug’s traction motors and blowers. In some cases there is also a fuel line if the slug has a fuel tank.
