[bow] Great Job!
[wow] And your documentation on the layout is great!

What materials are you using for the mountain building?

Thanks for sharing!

Ryan,
I am using good old paper towels soaked in Hydrocal over cardboard strips. I am trying troweling on Structolite, a gypson plaster with perlite bits. Structolite is slow setting and I use it to form the final terraform. So far I like this method.
I have been told that I am using methods from the 1950’s, wood and paper towels. I tried the present foam craze back in the mid-1970’s and didn’t like it. I saw an article back in the September 1959 Model Railroader about styrofoam scenery. I built a small Hon30 layout with the blue foamboard salvaged from a chicken coop about 1975. Didn’t like the mushy feel.
Just a thought
