small radius peco turnout ?

I’ve heard that peco’s small radius code 100 HO scale turnout are = to a #5
is this true or are they = to a #4.

I just want to know for sure .

The radius and spur length is the same as an Atlas #4The overall length of the straight section is shorter than an Atlas #4 Custom line turnout. IMO PECO is a better switch.

Technically they aren’t a numbered turnout because the diverging rail is curved Eurpopean style. BUT according to my crude measurements, if measured 1" from the point along the straight rail, the distance perpendicular from the straight rail to the inside rail head (flange side) measures 1/4". This would make it a number 4 equivalent. But since it is curved the kink isn’t quite as bad as a true #4 would be.

If I measure from the same side of the rail (inside of straight to outside of the diverging) then it ends up measuring as a 4.75 equivalent.

OK thanks guys I can see why there is so much confusion with these peco switchs, depending how you look at it , it can be either a #4 or a #4.75.
