Tired of the quick retaining wall I built when the layout was new and I had little idea how to address this area…
I pulled it down and made a more natural setting. The rock wall transitions into a more grantite look rock…
Still need to do some touchup and add some more details but not bad so far.
First one looked good. This one looks real. Good job.

I have rock on my layout and now need to put in a wall. How did you do the orginal wall? [swg]

The original wall was nothing more than underlament painted gray with some foam “pillars”. It was a quick way to cover up the ramp. Next I will do the other side of the layout where I have the same issue. The drop will be just as steep. It was a fun project though. I enjoyed it very much for the little effort put into it. I think it really made that part of the layout look a lot better. All in practice for that next one.
Original was nice but the stone natural looks great, more interesting.
