SMART awards construction contract
Since they still have not secured permits for construction in Marin County I would be concerned with the viability of the project. The concept of commuter rail service up to Cloverdale has been considered for 10 years, give or take a few. The biggest stumbling blocks have been the NIMBYs in Marin County.

As with every other project, Mr. bates. Seems to me those NIMBYs are content with fighting traffic and the pollution traffic causes. These people just DON’T get it.
Former NWPRR? No,they are moving lots of freight at this time with more coming when the line moves north.
