Smart Switch by ANE Models

Does anyone have experience with these switch machines? They use a servo, etc. I am looking at them due to their size.

A friend of mine got one to try out as an alternative, they seem to work fine. I prefer the Tam Valley ones which have indicators lights and the pushbuttons already included plus can act as a DCC decoder if you so desire. AFter trying both, and seeign the Tam Valley ones on my layout, he’s gone back for more Tam Valley but not purchased any more of the ANE.

In the beginning of this year, I found some information from my friend about ANE Model SmartSwitch products. I have reviewed their official website and found they sell SmartSwitch ver 4 now. Beside from SmartSwitch ver. 1, it maintained the four servo output control. Now it had added several functions, DC & DCC Dual control terminal, the main control board has 8 LED outputs terminal, adjustable servo speed from slowest 1 to fastest 9. I think the best is the separate hand adjust control broad.

After I install servo and SmartSwitch under my layout. I can took hand control broad to adjust the angle of servo next turnout. After adjustment finished, I can remove the hand control broad directly to adjust my other SmartSwitch main control broad.
Except convenience, it also let me saved nearly 10 USD hand control broad purchase costs. It is really a good idea.

The above functions can clearly understand that ANE MODEL continuing to improve the performance of products, let products try to meet the market. No wonder PECO willing to cooperate with ANE MODEL and sales PECO brand of SmartSwitch in the European market.

Recently, my friend told me that ANE MODEL put on a coat on SmartSwitch and also put a plastic shell on hand control broad. This is a very interesting thing. Maybe it can let us relieve fears of the PCB. Another day I want to string up SmartFrog, so that I can run my railcar.

Not worth the agravation! Great concept and architecture. Out of 6 purchased, 3 were DOA. Installed the first 3 without issue. Second 3 either would not program, or LED outputs were dead. ANE only says “read manual or watch videos”. Switching to TAM Valley Octopus III.
