Smoke stack for caboose

I am adding a smoke unit to a USA woodside caboose, any ideas on what to use for a smoke stack.

A length of plastic tubing, around 1/4" diameter and probably 1 1/2" long for the stack, then an oval of either styrene or brass (an aluminum can will work, too) around 3/8" wide by 3/4" long for the cap. Bend the cap in a “U” shape, and glue to the top of the stack.
