ok has any one ever had a smoke unit actually catch fire? i have a lionel hudson with comand control the smoke unit caught fire where flames actually came out stack. how hard are these to repair or replace ?? im pretty handy on the pw stuff but not sure about this new electronic stuff. i could smell the wire burning it had plenty fluid what could have caused this? thanks
Sometimes the shell removal is harder than the replacement. No joke. I actually install them in dummies. You have a three wire connector to remove and it comes right out [usually on posts that unscrew].
thanks cheif some post war shells are a booger to get off also ill have to see how long it takes to get a replacement from mt lhs.
