Those are some awesome pictures! The second picture makes it very very difficult to tell if it’s real or outside!
What do you mean #2 looks real! They are ALL real, the proper question is to ask Marty the scale are they 1:1 or “G”!
Marty: You continue to dazzle us (especially me) with your skills. I continue to watch your {Rotary Plow} in action and almost wish I could build something like that, but then that is exactly why I left snow country!

I’ve had a couple of e-mails about the farm house. Its a cheap 3/4" plywood box with cedar sticks glued on. All structures are modeled after ones I found in Walthers cat. i just inlarged them to 1:29 scale.
The snow is frozen rain from the sky.[;)]

The only real give-away is the lacking exhaust - both steam and diesel - which, as a rule, really shows up on cold days.[;)][:)]
Most people won’t look that closely at the background trees, except … well you know the story.[;)][;)][;)][:)][:D][:D]

I hear ya. When its this cold out its hard to find the motor switch and turn it off so the smoker works.
I know how TOC feels about head lights. in bright sun only LEDs show up.
And its usually a light wind which kills the smoker anyway.
I’m not into photo shopping smoke, so its life.
I’m hoping to get more onboard clips today. Plus I have a nice dift that the rotary will look good going through. Thats if I can stand it. 0 degrees out right now. no work today.[:(]

Gotta’ be on batteries here next season. Living in snowville just isn’t right without running trains in the snow too. This season started out with wet snow that froze up quick. About two two inches of ice on the tracks now. There’s still next year! Thanks for the pics. Later eh…Brian.
I know i will set up some track on my patio on friday, becasue here in a suburb of philly, we are getting some snow. I will also do it after I get my digital camera.
bman, I saw a website a few days ago where they had giant snow blowers on the front of rail cars. You could try mounting a hair dryer on the front of a car to melt the ice…

Marty,I’ve been looking at garden RR pic’s all week and these are some of the best
i’ve seen so far,certainly amongst the most realistic.I thought the farmhouse
in the background was a real house from across the street or something that just got caught in the background,truly amazing I am just blown away by the detail.
And I love the SD45’S I am going to buy a couple from Aristocraft.
But what I like best is that awsome bridge,did you make that if so how?

Keep in mind this is GRR #4 in about 14 years. It all takes time . If you have the GRYs 2003 feb issue it tells the story. I’m cheap, most all my stuff is hand made but for the trains, track.
