what should i use to simulate snow. i am looking for the most inexpensive and realistic way? any other tips for a winter scene?
Thanks
Well I was actually thinking the same thing. I work as a pastry chef and we use a type of no melt powdered sugar that is very lightand if you use a really small sifter it would look cool. . I am not sure of the technical name but I have just always called it snow. send me your address and I will send you some Joseph
Woodland Scenics sells powdered “snow” that works just like their other ground covers. And I’m pretty sure other scenic supply companies also sell their own type of “snow” ground cover.
Mostpeople find that snow isn’t worth it. If you just want to put some down for some pictures try sifting plaster onto the scene. What happens is no matter what you use it yellows with age and then you need to paint it which doen’t look good either.
I have used the woodland scenics powder snow. The problem I have with it was when spraying the scenic glue on it to secure it…it would blow the snow eveywhere…no matter how lightly you misted…but over all the snow looks real good for a temporary scene.
