So....What did Santa bring you this year???

Lets start the ball rolling. What did Santa bring you this year?

Lets see…

Some shop lights for the layout. Nothing as far as rolling stock, or buildings. Santa (aka the wife) wanted to make sure I got the right thing. So maybe a trip to the hobby store tomorrow.

The Jolly one done brought me a Athearn RTR CR SW1500…This loco is a thing of pure beauty.I fully believe Athearn pulled out all the stops on this one and I also recieved 2 Atlas N Scale cars.I will return these cars since both are 40’ stock cars and doesn’t fit my era…Thankfully the receipt was included.

A Sears digital multimeter - so I can get the layout wired properly.

A set of NYC subway cars (Walthers Proto 1000) - reminiscing about my childhood in Rockaway Beach, NY

Happy Holidays

Well the Atlas short bulkheads did not come so i did not get nothing.

A book about the CNW 400 passenger trains and a Badger airbrush. Oh, and a twenty inch replica of the “A Christmas Story” leg lamp![:D] So far so good!

Nothing train related, but a digital photo frame which is somewhere in UPS’s system. I also got some stuff for my new computer.

Cold hard cash to be spent hobbywise anyway I wish. [:)]

The only thing Model RR related I got was a Mehano 4-8-2 in CNR livery which I’m thinking some day may turn into a CPR 4-8-4

Merry Christmas

Gordon

Greetings,

My wife (and Mother-in-Law) bought me a Top Side Creeper from Micro Mark. It is now assembled and is stored under the train table for use later. Before I put it away I did try it out and it does really let me get to the hard to reach areas on the layout.

Time to go to my parents house so they can spool their grandson.

Christopher

The train related stuff was a metal sign that reads Ricky’s Train Station with an RR Crossing Sign on it and a Digitrax SuperChief. As I put in another post, I didn’t realize I’d been THAT good!

Plus I got some nice thermal shirts that will come in handy in th layout room as it can be chilly at time.

Ricky

For non train stuff, I got a new hockey stick, and I’ll be getting money later, so I can buy new skates

For train stuff, I got:

  • Walthers Heavyweight 3-2 Observation

  • Walthers Funnel Flow tanker

  • Walthers Centerbeam (damaged, and will be replaced in a few days when we contact Walthers

  • Some PS paints

Unless “Santa” (my parents) forgot about it, Walthers forgot to ship my decal paper… And for some reason, my airbrush was removed from my order due to “shipping restrictions…” After the holidays, we’ll give them a call to deal with the centerbeam and decal paper issues, as well as find out what went wrong with that airbrush…

Merry Christmas!

A BIG magnifier light for my workbench so I can actually see what I’m working on, compared to the 4" one I have. And some decoders so I have nearly enough to do all my locos.

The jolly old fellow brought me a $50 iTunes giftcard and 5 Atlas boxcars; 2 Evans 53’ ft. dbl. plug door and 3 FGE 50’ boxcars. And in other MR stuff, I got Great Model Railroads 2010, an issue of N scale railroading magazine, and 6 bottles of Elmers (I was running low on homemade scenic cement.) Also got plenty of Green Bay stuff; a throw blanket, little nerf football, and a Greg Jennings jersey.

Santa got me a shiny CSX SD70ace!! I love it! I also got some scenery stuff and some xbox stuff. Merry Christmas!

Ahhh, Santa did good this year!

Trainwise, he dropped off:

  • P2K HO Illinois Central E7/E7 with DCC & Sound (the new “orange” actually matches the orange on all the previously issued light & heavyweight cars

  • Walthers new HO IC lightweight baggage car

  • Athearn “old style” IC trailer truck

  • A book on the IC in southern Illinois in the '30s/'40s

  • A book on the Chicago train stations with lots of neat pictures.

Yesss, I mainly model the ATSF of the '40s/'50s, but I do allow some IC trains on the layout - as the IC of my youth really cemented my love of trains.

ENJOY!

Looks like everyone is going to be having some fun over the weekend. Me, a few ancillary items for my 5000 mile a year cycling habit (ya, 5k)and an awesome Michael Buble CD that makes me want to grab my wife and dance.

Cash! [:D](some might be spent on some turnouts)

I went to a really great Christmas dinner from the construction company I’ve been working for.
Some very unexpected gifts like company shirts/jackets/hats and tools![tup]
Plus a pay bonus I wasn’t expecting.
After a long time being unemployed, I think I’ve finally found a place I can call home!
It was REALLY nice to have money to buy gifts for my family this year![:)]
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
